Signet’s FAST RED Chromogen System consists of FAST RED chromogen tablets and substrate buffer. FAST RED reacts in the presence of alkaline phosphatase to produce red staining with minimal background noise. FAST RED Substrate Buffer provides sufficient material for 1000 tests. |
| Suggested Working Dilution | |
Protocol: 1. Mix the FAST RED chromogen tablet(s) and the FAST RED substrate buffer as described above 2. Apply mixture to tissue section 3. Incubate the slides for 10-20 min. at room temperature 4. Rinse tissue sections with deionized water 5. Counterstain and mount [Note: The Fast Red precipitate is soluble in alcohol. Do not process slides with xylenes and alcohol.] 6. FAST RED produces a red precipitate with almost no background |
